A girl who will change the World!
Ankara's Önder Neighborhood… This is one of the neighborhoods where Syrian refugees are concentrated We are in the home of a Syrian family with 5 children. It is obvious that the family is poor… The reason is that, only the father works and has no social security.
Eyes are full of sadness… Fears and worries are high, as much as their strangeness!
The subject is the schooling of a 14-year-old smart girl who is eager to receive education.
Our first meeting was very challenging.
Because both parents were very determined that girls should not go to school.
Maybe it's better to say faithful and stubborn!
For them, the best thing to do for a 14-year-old girl was to get her married!
We asked some questions.
Like, Why? What’s wrong? Why are you exactly afraid of?
It was not a surprise that the first meeting was held in a distant atmosphere.
In the second meeting, the atmosphere was same again.
We had to be calm, slow, and be patient to communicate more.
Because we knew that communication was the basis of mutual trust in such situations.
In the second interview we talked more. We said that we were trying to understand them, but a father and a mother should take responsibility for their children, and when those responsibilities were taken, the children's life could change more than they could ever have imagined, and they would be very proud of them in the future.
We said because we believe, we believe as we say

Because; looks changed appeals changed
It was changing slowly, but it was changing!
Then hope came, put in the main corner of my heart!
Apart from face-to-face meetings and being a guest in their homes, we also speak with the father very often on the phone.
We were kind to ask him to think about what we said.
We talked a lot, never lost contact.
As the days passed, concern and hope changed place, but we didn’t
give up.
And the phone rang.
At the other side of the line, our translator had an exciting voice.
Our translator friend gladly heralded that the parents were convinced that G would be sent to school.
