Since the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989, the United Nations has adopted every November 20 as “World Children's Rights Day in order to prevent violations of children's rights worldwide.
This special day sheds on how to obtain the rights of children who do not achieve these rights and aims to make these rights visible.
The Convention on the Rights of the Child contains internationally agreed and non-negotiable standards and obligations, defining the rights of all children, regardless of where they are born, who they are, their sex, religion or social background.

IGAM Malala Project and Children's Rights
In 2013, the Malala Fund, founded by Pakistani girl Malala and her father Ziauddin, to raise awareness, encourage girls and support their schooling in the social and economic impacts of girls' education, continues to inspire the world.
The IGAM Malala Project started in 2018. Our project, which is based on fundamental human rights norms, sensitive to gender equality, respectful to cultural differences, adopts an approach based on verifiable research findings, works on the schooling of girls in particular.
As a result of these efforts, IGAM Chairman Metin Çorabatır was awarded the 2018 Gulmakai Education Champion title.
